2015 – Better or Worse?

Every year, those who consider themselves “experts” try to give us predictions about the new year. They give predictions on economics, politics, the weather, and a ton of other topics. Is there  going to be peace or war? Poverty or prosperity? Progress or none? All these questions and more are asked. We’re all guilty of it. Everyone everywhere hope the new year will be better than the old year. However, there really isn’t all that much we can be sure of.

We can be sure of something and that is that the world will and can get both better and worse.

It was Paul that   told Timothy “In the last days perilous days will come….evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned..” (2 timothy 3:1; 13-14)

It is the inspired Word of God that instructs, corrects, and encourages us as we follow God’s path. The Scriptures are our comprehensive equipment that prepares us for all branches of God’s work..

As the spiritual darkness of our  world grows deeper, we need to remember that the light of Christ shines far brighter through all those who know and love Him! This is because Jesus is our joy and hope for today, tomorrow and forever!

Let Us Pray:

Heavenly Father,

The trouble in this world can distract us and divert our eyes from You. Thank You for Your Word that helps us stay focused. May we find our delight in Your love and share it with others today.

Remember: The powers of evil around you are no match for the power of Jesus within you.
