Open Your Heart to Receive Forgiveness

Each day of our lives we need forgiveness. We have the Holy Spirit within us to set off the alarm in our own spirits to recognize sin and He gives us the power of the blood of Jesus to be continually cleansed from sin and keep us in right standing with God.

However, if we become overcome by condemnation and we shut our hearts to forgiveness, the condemnation is not from God. He sent Jesus to die for us, to pay the price for us and our sins. Jesus hung on that cross and bore all of our sins then, now and in the future. Up there with Him was also nailed condemnation.

When God lovingly breaks the yoke of sin from us, He is also removing the guilt as well. If you truly open your heart to His forgiveness you will be able to feel guilt free. He is faithful and just to forgive all our sins and to always cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

It’s the devil that casts the condemnation and shame upon us. He does this in order to keep us from approaching God in prayer and so that we might not be able to fully receive His forgiveness and to truly feel its healing power. He casts condemnation on us so that we cannot have a truly intimate fellowship with God.

If we feel bad about ourselves or we believe that God is angry with us is only going to separate us from His presence. This is exactly what Satan wants. However, He will never leave us, so there is know reason to withdraw from Him because of condemnation. Simply open your heart to His forgiveness and walk with Him.

God, thank You for showing me that condemnation is not from You. Today, I receive Your forgiveness. You have cleansed me of sin so that I can live in right standing with You.
