There is Evidence of the Holy Spirit

You know, there just seem to be too many unhappy born-again, Spirit-filled believers who actually don’t seem to know what it’s like to actually remain full of the Spirit of God by simply acknowledging Him and pursuing His ways on a daily basis. The Holy Spirit IS in them, but they don’t let the evidence of this fact show up in their day to day lives.

Just like filling a glass without filling it to the full capacity, we may be born again and have the Spirit in us, however we might not be filling ourselves up to our full capacity. When we do this, we can’t show the evidence of His power in our lives.

Acts 4:31 says that when people were filled with the Holy Spirit, they spoke the Word of God “with freedom and boldness and courage.”

Consider a glass of milk where the chocolate lies at the bottom because you haven’t stirred it. It doesn’t change the milk in any way if you don’t take the spoon and stir it up. Consider the milk as us and the chocolate as the Holy Spirit, stir it up to change your life and show the rest of the world the evidence of the Holy Spirit.

It really doesn’t please God much when His people leave Him out of their daily lives and then follow religious formulas to try and appease Him later. Instead, He wants us to live a Spirit filled life of freedom, courage and boldness all the time.

Let’s make it a point to try and let God work freely in every area of our lives through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer:

God, I want to be filled with the Holy Spirit every day. Help me to live with the freedom, boldness and courage You give in my daily life.

Amen
