Throw Fear Out the Window

We probably all remember when we were kids and if we said a bad word our moms would threaten to wash our mouths out with soap. So, if we were to consider “fear” a dirty 4 letter word then having faith in God’s love would be the soap!

This faith, is not a wimpy faith but a vibrant and powerful faith in God’s unconditional, unwavering and unlimited perfect love that He has for ALL His children!

If you read John 4:18 you will see that it teaches that understanding God’s love for us will deliver us from our fear. This doesn’t, however, mean that we’ll never experience fear but it does mean that our faith in God and His love will help us to do whatever, even if we are afraid, if we have to do it.

Our God wants all of us to know that He is with us. He will lead and guide us, so we can put all of our confidence and our faith in Him!

Always remember this, His love is perfect, no matter how imperfect we are. He isn’t going to love us any more or less just because of our imperfections and the mistakes we make as we go through life’s journey. How great is that to know that God loves us right where we are, all the time. Just that thought alone should be enough to boost our faith and take that fear down a notch and maybe even throw it out the window.

Sure we’re going to feel afraid every once and a while. But, when that happens, we need to put our focus back on God and know that He will lead us through any kind of situation that we might be facing.

God, only Your love can cast out my fear, so I put my faith in You. I know that Your presence is with me and that You will lead me through any fearful situation I face. I receive Your love.
