Be On Alert for Unusual Circumstances

“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit?” (1 Cor. 12:7-9)

If something unusual happen in our daily lives, we need to open our eyes to the possibility that these unusual things are signs that God is up to something. We need to make sure that our senses are heightened to the awareness of what God may want to do in these situations. We need to be alert to those around us and the things that might be happening in their lives, listen to what God is trying to show us and let the Spirit guide us to what we need to do, whether it is to give a friendly smile, a hug, a prayer, whatever, it might be, but we need to let our walls down so that we can receive the message from the Spirit of God.

God is raising the spiritual bar so to speak for Christians who want to impact the world for Christ today. He wants us to break through into other people’s lives supernaturally by giving us insights into the needs of people so that we can bring them to Christ.

Jesus often spoke supernaturally into the lives of others based on the circumstance of the moment. He often spoke of their current condition in life and invited them to make a change.

As we go about our day, there are situations that we can find ourselves in that are truly open doors for bringing Christ into the circumstance. In fact, He is the one orchestrating the circumstance, we need to be open to it.

The next time an unusual situation develops, be aware that God may be the one one creating this situation to bring His glory into the situation.

Let us pray:

“Dear God, it is hard to fight the battles in life. I can see that it is in the midst of battles, that we learn to be truly effective warriors. Likewise, in the midst of living, let me learn to be an effective Christian. Please guide and direct me; give me wisdom and strength for the day. In Jesus’ name I pray and thank You.

Amen”
